Engineering is the profession of the new age and advanced technology. Especially electrical-electronic engineering provides a great added value to this development in many different fields. You should determine what position you want to take place in such a valuable profession. When you graduate from this department, you can turn to many different fields, there are so many alternatives. You can work in many different areas such as electronic circuit designs, Robotic systems, Renewable energy sources (Wind roses, solar panels …), R&D, Medium voltage-Low voltage Facilities, Electricity Distribution, Energy systems, Software, the range is very wide. You can open your own office by obtaining your SMM (Freelance Consultant Engineer) certificate, Today you can improve yourself in software like the engineers of world-leading companies such as Google and Microsoft, or you can practice your profession in public institutions and of course, you can become a lecturer at the university by getting a Master’s and a PhD. You can continue your teaching side as an experienced instructor by training at the level of university students.
Be sure, we also had some indecisions from time to time, “What will I do when I graduate?” or “Does this job appeal to me?” Make sure their questions have puzzled many engineers. After a good education and individual effort at a good university, believe me, all of these questions stay in the air and business life takes you to the top. Without worries, you have to think in detail for the right decision, weighing the pros and cons of both situations, of course, one will outweigh. First of all, you should ask yourself; “Am I or will I be happy with this choice?” In business and private life, it is very important for the individual to ask this and the answer to be given. Of course, you should choose which profession appeals to your abilities and if you think you will be happy. You can give the most accurate answer at this point.
I am a 2nd grade student in the City and Regional Planning department and I decided that I do not want to do this job in the future. I have an idea of transferring from this department to environmental engineering. Would you recommend this? Of course, every department has its difficulties, but what kind of difficulties does the environmental engineering department at Dokuz Eylül University have? Can you please share?
First of all, I want you to know that the two chapters you read and want to read are quite different from each other. This can be a disadvantage or an advantage for you. However, I would like to state that the field courses of engineering departments literally start in the 3rd grade. So as it is not too late for anything, you can overcome all difficulties with the excitement and motivation of reading the section you target. Dokuz Eylül University Environmental Engineering Department, which I am a graduate of, has a strong academic staff and opportunities to help you improve yourself. In addition, the remote location of the campus can make you a bit difficult in terms of transportation. If possible, I recommend you spend a day at school, this will help you shape your decisions.
It would not be right for me to guide you to make a decision, you have to decide all this yourself.
